Bathroom- Claw tub/shower Washer/Dryer-Located outside in shed Welcome to the historic Treme area of downtown New Orleans, LA. Tremé is one of the oldest black neighborhoods in the United States. What is now Tremé was a plantation in the late 1700s. Hat maker and real estate developer Claude Tremé owned and subdivided this land, and in 1810 he sold it to the city of New Orleans. Creole cottages, double shotgun houses, 19th century landmarks and the beautiful Louis Armstrong Park mark this historic neighborhood. The architecture here embodies a local, neighborhood feel. Tremé is within easy walking distance from the French Quarter and great to explore by bike or foot. If you choose to drive, street parking is widely available. You can also hop in a cab or utilize a shared riding service.
